Love where you live; whether you’re new to Cuenca, moving to a new place, or want to spruce up where you are, it’s important to love where you live, especially when you’re making a new home in a foreign country. It sometimes seems impossible to find what you want to make your home really yours. As an experienced interior designer and decorative artist, I can make things much easier for you. I work with a number of local vendors, artists, and artisans who can custom make whatever you are looking for, whether it’s furniture, drapes, re-upholstery, or art. I even have someone to make lamp shades, so if you find a great lamp with an ugly shade, go for it (‘cause you know how hard lamps are to find here), and we’ll work some magic. Although I love all aspects of interior design, my specialty is painted/distressed furniture finishes. Here are a few of the furniture items I have done, re-done, or taught clients to do. I have many supplies from the United States that can’t be found locally, including stencils, chalk paint, and paste furniture wax. The initial consultation is free, so give me a call. I can provide local references and recommendations, show you actual work I’ve done here, and share my portfolio with you.
